Jorge López Galería is the result of an evolution as natural as it is inevitable, as if all the facets of his journey in the art world—as an artist, art director, museum coordinator and gallerist—had silently conspired to end here, in This space is not just a gallery, but a kind of migratory station of ideas, where the artist is seen as a perpetual traveler, a being in transit, who builds bridges between his origins and his destinations.
From its foundations in the Mediterranean, Jorge López has created a program that explores the constant dialogue between the established and the emerging, between Europe and Latin America. It is not just about exhibiting art, but about drawing maps of connection, invisible routes that cross the Atlantic and weave complex networks of meaning and belonging.
The gallery is part of LAVAC and the Consortium of Spanish Galleries of Contemporary Art, it has collaborated and carried out exchanges with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Culture of Argentina, the Argentine Culture to the World program, the Ministry of Culture of Uruguay, the National Directorate Culture, the Petronas Uruguay program, the Miguel Hernandez University and the CIA Artistic Research Center among others, which reinforces its commitment to the development and promotion of current art.
