Marcolina Dipierro

Chivilcoy, Buenos Aires, Argentina
1978

Graduated in Fine Arts from the Argentine National School “Prilidiano Pueyrredón”.

She supports her creative gaze on abstraction as a plastic language to approach works that draw compositions that refer to certain conceptual aspects of modern architecture and design in combination and contrast with various forms and materialities. Her work is displayed in installations, objects or sculptural groups, often playing with the dynamics of the space that contains them to generate the idea that these spaces are habitable in reality.

Since 2001, Dipierro has exhibited her work in various galleries, fairs, museums and cultural centers in Argentina and other countries. Her work received the FONCA-CONACULTA Scholarships, Mexico (2011); the National Fund for the Arts (2013 and 2020) and the Lucio Fontana Scholarship (2016). In the years 2017/2018 she participates in “Bienal SUR” with two sculptural intervention projects in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina and in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She carried out international artistic residencies and in 2021 she was awarded the First Prize Fundación Fortabat, Bs. As., Argentina. Her works are part of private and public collections such as Castagnino-MACRO. Rosario, Santa Fé, Argentina, Banco Supervielle Collection, Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA), Buenos Aires, Argentina; Sayago & Pardon L.A, USA; Phoenix Art Museum, Arizona, USA.
